Want an incredibly fun activity to do with your kids?
I sure did! So, I went to a sweet little place called Creativity Art Studio. After visiting with the owner, he and I decided to set up a blogger night. Here is my review of the night, only a few months late.
I had the privileged of helping with a blogger event night at Creativity Art Studio in Orem, Utah. Let me just tell you, it was the most fun night I have had in a very very long time!
I had been coordinating with Allie, the owner’s sister, for a few months before this event. By the time the event came, I felt like it had come too soon and I hadn’t done nearly enough. Lucky for me, Allie was on top of her game.
I arrived at Creativity Art Studio and the blogger night was set up perfectly. The treats were out, ceramic tiles were placed, and ready to paint. As the guests started to arrive I listened to Allie talk about the Studio and the options available there. She sure knows her stuff.
As the night went on we all got to paint our tiles, or other ceramics of our choosing. Little Man was my date for the night and he could not get enough of the painting! When one side of his tile was dry he went to town painting the other side. When that was done he painted the front again. Essentially it turned out to be a mess of colors mixed together.
After his tile had a few hundred layers of paint splattered on it he spotted the beloved cookie monster mug and I couldn’t say no to his adorable chocolate chip cookie covered face. I let him have at the mug. We are now the proud owners of a blackish paint splattered mug that kid of has cookie monster eyes on it. Once we get it back from the studio I will be sure to post pictures of it!
All of the bloggers had so much fun, maybe even more than their kids! Each lady told me how she couldn’t wait to come back with her child or other children and do it again.
Another awesome tidbit for you…
Creativity Art Studio offers a kids club. The fee for this club is $65 for the first month and $50 for every month after. At first I was a little timid about this price – I am, after all, an extremely cheap person. Then I found out that the fee includes all of the art supplies as well.
If you are worried the “art supplies” are cheap pom poms and pipe cleaners (what my house is filled with) you need not worry. The art supplies they provide are ceramics for painting, at least once a month, pottery supplies for making pottery, canvas, paints, brushes and other artistic mediums. If I knew the technical names for these items I would list them, but I don’t. Fifty dollars is a steal for a kids activity that includes so much and happens every week for an hour and a half!
The Creativity Art Studio was founded on principals of family and closeness and they really do provide the ideal atmosphere for both. I am in love with this place and I know we will be back very often!
The point of this post is not to brag about my awesome time, but to tell you to go have your own! I promise you will not regret it an ounce. It is so much fun for the entire family and the staff is incredibly friendly. I even want to go back without my kids, so I can get ultra creative.
Don’t forget: Creativity Art Studio is an awesome place to spend Spring Break!
