Here is episode 6 for your viewing pleasure!
Here is a snippet of what episode 6 is all about. Thank you again to Wikipedia!
Episode 6 – After Lydia carelessly mentions Darcy’s involvement in her wedding, Mrs. Gardiner enlightens Elizabeth how Darcy found the errant couple and paid for all the expenses. When Bingley and Darcy return to Netherfield in the autumn, Darcy apologises to Bingley for intervening in his relationship with Jane and gives his blessing for the couple to wed. Lady Catherine de Bourgh, who has heard rumours of an engagement between Darcy and Elizabeth but wants him to marry her sickly daughter Anne, pays Elizabeth an unannounced visit. She insists that Elizabeth renounce Darcy, but Elizabeth does not rule out a future engagement. When Elizabeth thanks Darcy for his role in Lydia’s marriage, Lady Catherine’s story encourages Darcy to reconfirm his feelings for Elizabeth. Elizabeth admits the complete transformation of her feelings and agrees to an engagement, which takes her family by surprise. The series ends with a double wedding in the winter months: Jane and Bingley, and Elizabeth and Darcy.
Now I’m not one for a double wedding, however, this one is kind of perfect. Maybe it is because I absolutely love Jane, Bingley, Darcy and Elizabeth, or maybe it’s because it isn’t my double wedding. Either way I love this show/movie.
Since I have told you about three of the four characters involved in the double wedding, I better tell you about the fourth now, a Mr. Charles Bingley. Thank you again to Wikipedia – There is no way I could summarize the characters like this – mine would be a sister novel (one for each character) to Pride and Prejudice!
Charles Bingley is a handsome, good-natured, and wealthy young gentleman of 23, who rents Netherfield Park near Longbourn. He is contrasted with his friend Mr Darcy as being more kind and more charming and having more generally pleasing manners, although not quite so clever. He lacks resolve and is easily influenced by others. His two sisters, Caroline Bingley and Louisa Hurst, both disapprove of Bingley’s growing affection for Jane Bennet.
I think every version of P&P is amazing and I fall in love with the characters more and more each time.
Poor Soldier is going to have one heck of a week next week – once Little Bean’s party is done, I plan on making up for lost Valentine’s fun and watching every single episode and version of Pride and Prejudice! I watched these while I put everything together but somehow Soldier made himself scarce and didn’t watch with me. So next week it shall be!
Hey at least I’m not making him read the book too – right?
